Hall Attorneys, P.C. and co-counsel filed a putative class action concerning a December 2025 compromise of a Global-e cloud system containing shopper order data for several brands, including Ledger.

The complaint alleges defendants failed to prevent, adequately disclose, and reasonably mitigate the foreseeable use of Ledger customer and order information in targeted impersonation and cryptocurrency-theft schemes.

The complaint states that Ledger hardware, software, private keys, recovery phrases, and blockchain balances were not compromised in the Global-e incident. The lawsuit instead focuses on the alleged use of names, contact details, shipping information, purchase history, device details, and related customer information to identify likely cryptocurrency holders and make fraudulent support or security contacts appear legitimate.

The complaint alleges two completed digital-asset thefts valued at more than US $2.6 million in total at filing-time values. This announcement intentionally does not identify the affected customers by name.

The complaint proposes a North American Ledger/Global-e Data Breach Class, a Targeted Impersonation Subclass, and a Digital-Asset Loss Subclass. It asserts negligence, breach of implied contract, breach of confidence, restitution and unjust enrichment, and declaratory and injunctive relief.

Requested relief includes damages, restitution, individualized notice, security assessments, merchant-tenant segmentation, access controls, logging, data minimization, victim assistance, and safeguards for Ledger support and Ledger Recover verification workflows.
